Fort Armstrong Folk Festival
WHEN: Thursday thru Sunday, August 2 - 5, 2012 (41st annual.)
This event is usually held the first weekend in August.
WHERE: The Festival is held in the northern portion of Riverfront Park, located
off Route 422, along the Allegheny River and is adjacent to downtown Kittanning, Pennsylvania (Armstrong County.)
Kittanning is 45 miles north of Pittsburgh (Route 28) and 70 miles east of Youngstown, Ohio (Route 422.)
DESCRIPTION: The Fort Armstrong Festival event is a four-day arts and crafts festival celebrating
art, music, food, history, and memories of Armstrong County Pennsylvania.
Event includes arts and crafts, food, music, fine arts, and other events and activities.
The festival is free to the general public with entertainment provided.
The goal of the Fort Armstrong Folk Festival is to provide traditional fine arts and crafts,
educational activities, and live performing artists to entertain and enrich the community, while preserving and
demonstrating Pennsylvania's historical and living heritage.
