DESCRIPTION: Tony’s Annual Harvest Fest is a colossal all day event. 101.3 The Rose will be on hand throughout the day. As well as many local area youth groups, and Gift of Life will be on hand to promote as well as educate about the importance of organ donation. Gift of Life Volunteers will also have a Donor Drive to sign-up and register new donors.

This fund and the events it sponsors will allow the Forte Family to have peace of mind once Tony receives his greatest call of all, the call that will save his life. This fund is essential in allowing the Forte Family to remain out in Pittsburgh to care for Tony’s recuperation following transplant surgery of his stomach and intestinal tract, and liver transplant which can last from 6 to 12 months. His recuperation will solely depend on his health and the care that his parents have so diligently provided since he was diagnosed with Total Colonic Hirschsprung’s Disease at birth. Tony has grown into a very inspirational little boy of eight years old, that has touched so many lives.

Working with our committee of volunteers, and the Forte family, we have secured a date. The Festival will take place on Sunday, October 20, 2013 Willow Street Fire Company and  Grounds in Willow Street PA. This event is open to the public. Kids are encouraged to dress in costume. We expect both a full slate of vendors, sponsors and a large group of area citizens from our community to attend.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the “Antonio Forte Transplant Fund Trust.” This special needs trust will financially aid the family once transplant commences to help with the financial burdens of uninsured medical expenses due to transplant not covered by his insurance, such as temporary re-location for Tony’s recuperation, loss of employment, flight travel to the Transplant Center, meals, possible re-listment should the transplant fail, medications currently not covered by insurance, etc. (More of the family’s story can be found at a Website that was created by his older brother Vincent at www.aftft.com.)

The festival will have a Craft Show 9AM to 4PM with a Halloween Family Festival 10AM to 4PM with delicious food, kid friendly activities and games, Chinese auction, Music, Bouncey House, Dunk Tank and a Zumba both the night before from 6PM to 9PM and then again during the event on Sunday from 1PM to 4PM. Cost for both Zumba is $10 per person.

Local area organizations that mean a lot to our family will be and therefore will be on hand such as the Gift of Life Program, the Penn State Children’s Hospital, Children’s Miracle Network, March of Dimes, Make-A-Wish, One Heart Missions and PNC Bank.

Vendors Needed!
Arts and crafts vendors wanted.
Direct sales vendors wanted (home party vendors.)
Food vendors wanted (concessionaires.)
Yard sellers wanted (public)
Other / information vendors wanted (services, organizations, non-profits, etc.)
Entertainment needed (music, magicians, clowns, face painters, etc.)

We ask that vendors PROMPTLY setup at 7AM. No set up will take place after 8:45AM – no exceptions! Doors open to public at 9AM, spaces must be set-up and ready to sell by 9AM. Craft Show will conclude at 4PM, but there will be other events going on throughout the day/evening.

#1. We need vendors. Our goal is to get 100 arts, crafts, direct sale, yard sellers and area business vendors. We will be set-up on the field and spaces will be $25 for a 10′ x 10′ space for Yard Sellers, $40 a 10′ x 10′ space for home-based businesses, crafters and artists. $75 Businesses for a 10′ x 10′ home-based business. If you are a smaller vendor and would like to share a space with another vendor, we can certainly accommodate that – provided that we don’t already have a vendor of the company you represent that has already reserved a spot. NO DUPLICATE VENDORS. This will be an outdoor event, no tables will be provided. We are extremely limited on electric; therefore only food, music and bouncy house will have the only electric available to them. We will also ask that each vendor provide an item to be donated to raffle. If you would like to donate a portion of your sales from the day to the Antonio Forte Transplant Fund Trust, it would be greatly appreciated, but not required. See contact information (listed below) for a vendor application and event sheet.

#2. We need volunteers to help run the event. Registration “Coaches” to sign people in, “Runners” to help direct people to their spaces, “Relievers” which would be assigned to a group of stands to watch if someone needs to use the restroom or eat and a few to man the raffle table.

#3. Please pass this onto your other vendors and friends. The more vendors we can get, the better for the cause.
